Fair LuVerne — At the Clay Coun ty Fair at Spencer Thursday, Le Ota Ann Voss, daughter of the John Voss, Jr., and Raeann Brink, daughter of the Allyn Brinks, LuVerne Live Wires 4-H club girls, received blue ribbons on thiiir demonstrations. Le Ola Ann Is a junior and Raeannj a sophomore in LuVerne Community School. County Legion Meeting The tfossuth County American Legion members .net in the Lu- VerrW Legion Building, Thursday. Bert C. Ramus welcomed the 20 .guests from Swea City, Ledyard and Bancroft. The Auxiliary Unit served refreshments. Host Faculty The LuVerne Community School board and their wives were hosts at a 6:30 dinner at the school Monday as a welcome to the new arid old members of the- school faculty. Mot lunch cooks, Mrs Laura Meyer and Mrs .Jessie Stripling served the dinner. Evening entertainment was slides shown by Jjawrence Mil ler on recent trip to Alaska. Music Mothers Met The first meeting of the music mothers was held Sept. 14 at the LuVerne school. Mrs Thees Schnakenberg was elected presi* dent to fill a vacancy. The club voted,to discontinue programs! serving of refreshments with hostesses. Instead a program of musical numbers by Peter Farmakis, music director will be given by band members. The club will however serve lunch for all home basketball games. Mrs John Voss, Jr., was voted Sunshine Chairman for the year. Teachers of the Lutheran Church Sunday School of the Au gona Zone exchanged ..classes Sunday. Mrs Robprt O. H. filu- mer and Mrs Ro'bert Nielsott, Lu- Vernewent to the Whitteiriore Sunday School. Coming to Lu- Verne were Mrs Daryl Fredericks and Mrs Esther Hauck, Livermore. The Auxiliary Unit met in the Legion Hall With Mrs Jack Guy, presiding.
