Hostesses were Mrs Lester Smith, Mrs Jerry Smith and Sharon Smith. A program was presented, vocal and piano solos by Sharon Smith and Sharon HeinkH. Games were played. Mr and Mrs Jess Jergenscn attended the funeral of his uncle Bert Weiland, 70. at Eagle Grove Monday. Mrs Charles Ilanselman. The birthday of Mrs Lindebak Sept. 4, was recognized. Mr and Mrs Raymond Wagner and sons of Deer \_reek, 111., were week end guests of his sister, the Harry Naffzigers. Their mother. Mrs Catherine Wagner returned to her' home in Peoria. 111., afler visiting here. Mr and Mrs Jack McClellan and Craig visited his brother, the Glen McClellans. at. DCS Moines Sunday and attended the State Fair. Pamela remained with, her grandparents, the C. O. McClel- lans. Mr and Mrs Raymond Brazee and girls of Goldfield were Sunday guests in 'the Edward Elbert home. Attending the wedding of Joan Licktieg and Paul Elbert at AI- gon Saturday morning were his parents Mr and vfrs August Elbert. brothers Mr and Mrs Edward Elberl and Mr and Mrs John Elbert. Mr and Mrs Harlan Helm and gills of Thompson were Laboi Day visitors with her parents, Mr and Mrs Albert Hefti. Mr and Mrs Bager, and Mrs Edwin Jackson visited in Webster City with Mrs Ba'ger's sister, Mr and Mrs Martin Larsen. They ulso called ;.t Boone in the William Beckwith home, daughter of the Larsen's. Ronald Martin high school teacher at Sentral. Fcnton, spent Labor Day with his parents, Supt. and Mrs B. K. Martin. Mr and Mrs Jay Pickett, Hawthorne, Calif., arrived to visit her patents Mr and Mrs Earl Neal. Mr Pickett went on to North Carolina to visit his parents. Wednesday evening guests in the Neal home for a reunion with Mr and Mrs Pickett were her sister Mr and Mrs tJenard To'wno of Manson, her brother, Mr and Mrs Duane Neal, Beth and Joyce, LuVerne. Mr and Mrs Vernon Davidson of Adel were week end visitors in the parental Ralph T. Davidson home. Sunday guests were their son Mr and Mrs Gordon Davidson and daughter LuAnn of Burt and their granddaughter th' 1 Allen Theis, Graettinger. Labor Day week end guests in the Carl Pergande home were their daughter, Helen, and friend, Charles McClellan of Council Bluffs. Sunday guests were their sons Mr and Mrs Ernest Pergande, Renwick, Mr and Mrs Louis Pergande, Stanhope, and their daughter Mr. apd Mrs Eugene Casey, Lu Verne and their families. Mrs Pergande reports that Mrs Elmer Pt-rgande and two gills have arrived at Leon, France, to join Elmer Pergande who went in February for four years army service. Mrs Guy Giddings and granddaughter Linda Lasher went Friday to Murdock, Minn., to visit Mrs Giddings' sister Mr and Mrs Herman Ward and family until Tuesday. Mrs Jessie Sanford was in Marshalltown Saturday to get new glasses following her recent cataract surgery. Her daughter, Mrs Irvin McGowan, Clear Lake, took her. they also visited at. the Bobby Caudle and Mrs Nellie Olson home in Ellsworth. The McGowan's brought Mrs Sanford home Sunday. Mr and Mrs Lloyd Stoddard and girls of Fort Dodge visited his mother Mrs Marie Stoddard Labor Day. Together they were dinner guests of Mrs Gail Stoddard and children at Titonka. Lloyd has recently been made manager of the Robinson Wholesale House at Fort Dodge. Bleich Granddaughter A daughter, Julie Ann was born Friday Sept. 2nd. to Mr anfl Mrs Jerome Gallogly of 512 24th. St. West DCS Moines. Her mother is the former Lorraine Bleich. The little Miss weighed six pounds two ounces, and is the first grand daughter for the Leo Bleich's. Sixty superior Iowa high students will receive college - level training 'in biology, chemistry, mathematics and physics this summer at The Stale University of Iowa in a program financed by a $24,000 National Science Foundation grant.
