And Zalesky, Moses Funerals Zalesky, Dr. Noted Jewish Educator Moses Dr. 65, recently retired executive director of the Bureau of Jewish Education, died Saturday morning at home, 7750 Greenland Pl. Dr. Zalesky was on the faculty of the University of Cincinnati, where he taught Hebrew.

He was executive director of the Bureau of Jewish Education for 25 years. He was also a member of the Association of the Survivors of Nazism, was the founder of Ivriah, the Hebrew speaking society, and of the Jewish and Art Committee. ZaleCulture, sky was a former director of the Yavneh School. He is survived pear his wife, Mrs. Genia Zalesky; two daughters, Mrs.

Mordechai (Hanita) Schreiber, Commack, Long Island, N. and Mrs. Barry (Malka) Altman, Cincinnati, and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 3:30 p. m.

today in Weil Funeral Home, 3901 Reading. Burial will be in Adath Israel Cemetery. Moses 65, Banker Passes Funeral services for Valentine (Val) Boeh, 71, 6534 Baywood College Hill, former senior vice president and director of the Central Trust will be at 10:30 a. m. Tuesday at the Baiter and Sahnd Funeral Home, Clifton.

Burial will be in Spring Grove. Mr. Boeh died Friday at Christ Hospital after a long illness. He retired from Central Trust in 1964. He was a leader in the Cincinnati community in the introduction of installment-credit banking.

He served Central Trust as both the installment credit officer and commercial loan officer. Mr. Boeh is a former director and chairman of the board of the Credit Bureau of Cincinnati and former treasurer and trustee of the Cincinnati Club. He leaves hi swife, Helen; son, Robert sister, Mrs. Rudolph Wind; and two gandchildren, all of Cincinnati.

Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Red Cross. Ernst Jahnke the fire department six years ago after 47 years service. He was a member of the Retired Firemen Mutual Protective Association, Firemen Masonic Club, Hoffner Lodge No.

253 and the Order of Hercules. He is survived by his son, Dr. Ernst J. Jahnke, Cincinnati; a daughter, Mrs. Marci Newman, Madison, two brothers, Edward New York, and Gustav, Cincinnati; two sisters, Mrs.

Thielen, and Mrs. Adele Striethorst, both of Cincinnati, and five grandchildren. Visitation is from 6- 9 p. m. 1 Monday.

E. W. Elsbernd Mass for Edwin W. Elsbernd, 75, Oregonia, Ohio, and operator of co owner Trading Ancient Post in Ft. Ancient, will be at 11 a.

m. Monday at St. Francis de Sales Church, Lebanon. Burial will be in Bethany Cemetery there. A native of Cincinnati, Mr.

Elsbernd died Thursday at Clinton Memorial Hospital. He leaves his wife, Emily; William Edwin, Oreson gonia; two sisters, Mrs. Siegman, Cincinnati, and Miss Isabel Elsbernd, Detroit, and one grandson. Mr. Elsbernd was preceded in death by a sister, Sister M.

Maximilia, OSS, and three brothers, the Rev. Maximilian, OSM, Ben and John Elsbernd, all of Funeral services will be at 11 a. m. Tuesday in Busse and Borgmann Funeral Home, 3464 Central Parkway, for Ernst Jahnke, former Cincinnati fire department captain. Burial will be in Spring Grove Cemetery.

Mr. Jahnke, 2875 LaFeuille Westwood, died Friday in St. Francis Hospital. He retired from Cincinnati. Visitation is 6-9 p.

m. today at the Oswald Funeral Home, Lebanon. Joseph E. Kemp 92, Rt. 1, Lynchburg, Ohio, retired employee of the U.S.

Playing Card died Saturday at his residence. He retired from U. S. Playing Card Co. in 1953 after working there for 46 years.

He leaves four sons, Raymond, Herbert and Joseph of Deer Park, and Roger, Mt. Auburn; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Earhart, California, and Mrs. Viola Snider, Lynchburg; 14 grandchildren and 17 greatgrandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10 a.

m. Tuesday at St. John Church, Deer Park, with burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Visitation is 5-9 p. m.

George A. Alexander, USN 86, twice governor of Guam, will be held at 4 p. m. Tuesday at Baiter and Sahnd Funeral Home, 3412 Clifton Ave. Burial will be in Vine Street Hill Cemetery.

Capt. Alexander, a native of Cincinnati, died in Baton Rouge, where he lived for the past several years. He was a graduate of the U. S. Naval Academy, was a member of E.

T. Carson Lodge, No. 598, and AM, and the Great White Fleet Association. He served 44 years in the Navy, retiring in 1946. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs.

Stanifer Sholars, Baton Rouge; a brother, Harry, Cincinnati, and four grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4-9 p. m. Monday. W.

B. Woermann Funeral Mass for William (Uncle Bill) Woermann, 100, will be at 10 a. m. Monday at Our Lady of Presentation Church. Burial will be in Spring Grove.

Mr. er, died Friday LivWoermann, a retired, printing Center of Kenwood Nursing Home. His residence was the Marquette Manor, 1999 Sutter. English Woods. had worked for the Koehl Paper Box Co.

Born in 1870 in Cincinnati. Mr. Woermann could recall firsthand the Grand Opera House fire in 1901 and the Courthouse riot of 1884. He was sitting in the front row of the opera house when the fire broke out and standing on a Court Street corner when the riot erupted. His favorite pastime was reading and he read up an average of two books a week plus news magazines and newspapers because he was interested "in keeping up with the times." It was his advice to people to "stay in the company of people younger than you are because you get old enough just living" and he had a simple guideline to life.

He said: "I lived yesterday, I started living today and I don't plan on tomorrow." He leaves three nieces and one nephew. Visitation will be from 4-8 p. m. today at the Charles A. Miller and Sons Funeral Home, Northside.

Orval Atkins Orval Atkins, 63. 2966 Douglas died Saturday in Jewish Hospital. He was bark policeman for 23 vears and a radio dispatcher for 11 years. Mr. Atkins was veteran of WWII, and a member of the Holy Name Societv.

retired machinist and linotypist, died Saturday at his residence after a short illness. He had worked as a machinist and linotypist for the Kiser and Blare for 12 years. Prior to that he had worked for both The Enauirer and The Cincinnati Post and the old Commercial Tribune. He was past master of the E. T.

Carson Lodge No. 598 and a member of Philippus United Church of Christ for more than 56 years. He was a Sunday School teacher for more than 50 years and superintendent of the adult Sunday School Department of the church for more than 20 years. Mr. Esslinger also was one of Ohio's first amateur "ham" radio operators.

He leaves his wife, Emma Vogel Esslinger; daughter, Mrs. Lucille Hermerding; three sons, John Bob and Lloyd Esslinger; five sisters, Mrs. Helen Stephan, Mrs. Anna Rothas, Mrs. Louise Wohlwender, Mrs.

Min Wohlfeil and Mrs. Marie Ose; two brothers, William and Carl Esslinger; 20 grand children and five great-grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a. m. Tuesday at the Charles A.
