Hurry Reeh, secretary and Mrs. Emo Bohncrt treasurer. A social of colccs and cookies followed the meeting. Band Favorites Named Donald Durdcn and dorian Kirehhoff were selected by their fellow band students as favorites thus year. Each year a senior girl and boy are chosen for this honor.

Mr. Kunz was also honored at the concert receiving an engraved gold cup from junior high band, a gold plaque from the senior band and a gift from the band booster club. NOW thru SAT. Society Mrs. Blackwell Is New President Mrs. James Blackwell was installed as the president of the Kerrville Literary Club at the meeting held Friday nffcrnorn in the meeting room of the Butt-Holdswoith Memorial Library. Mrs. Kelly Hlldcbrand presided.

Others installed were Mrs. Lyal Hctrick, vice president; Mrs. Obarllon McKec, secretary; Mrs. John B. Wiggins, treasurer and Mrs.

John N. Bwlfe, librarian historian. New members welcomed were Mewfames J. C. Jacobson.

Mrs. W. E. Bell, membership chairman, announced that 17 new members had been added to the club's roster. A sizeable donation to the library, to be used as needed was voted by the members.

Mrs. Mark Craig gave an excellent review of Owen Bristow's "Calico Palace" a novel of (he gold rush days in California. The serving table was laid with an embroidered linen cloth, with magnolias and yucca blossoms as the centerpiece. D. Doyle were hostesses. DEBRA 4LEENE BAETHGE Engagement Is Announced Mr. and Mrs. Henry G.

Baethgc announced the engagement of their daughter, Dcbra flecne to James D. Schwiening, son of Mrs. Evelyn Sohwiening and the late Fred Schwiening. Miss Baethge is a 1971 graduate of Bel'fon High School, Belton, Missouri. She is presently employed as a sales clerk with Howards Jewelry.

Her fiance is a 1965 graduate of Tivy High School in Kerrville and also attended Angelo State College. In 1967 he entered the U. S. receiving his discharge in 1971. He is employed by The Borden Company in San Antonio.

S. Navy in 1969 and 1970 and was stationed in Hawaii. Sunday School Class Picnic The 20th Century Sunday School Class of First United Methodist Church enjoyed thoir annuail picnic Sunday afternoon when members and their families and guests gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Don Ha Men.

The group enjoyed badminton, horse-shoe pitching, hiking, riding horses or bikes and fellowship. Barbecued hamburgers with all the trimmings and homemade ice cream and cake were served to 50 present. Following the meal, the group gathered an old fashioned sing song. They were accompanied by Mr. and Mrs.
