Following the ceremony, a wedding breakfast was served at Iredel, the home, of the bride's parents, after which the young couple left on a southern cruise. They will return the fifth of January to occupy their days with Mr. and Mrs. Hardcastle. Mr.

The bride wore a gown of ivory satin wih a long train and a finger tip length veil caught at each side by a small spray of orange blossoms and carried a prayer book and hower bouquet of gardenias. Her maid of honor and only attendant, Miss Bess Trippe, a cousin, wore a dress of acquamarine blue witti brown accessories and carried talisman roses.
