PC Charterites Quiz Morr On Contract Cincinnati's Charter Committee asked Fred Morr, Hamilton County auditor, Saturday what he has "done with more than $1.5 1 million spent on appraising and reappraising real property" since 1961-62 "if it is now necessary to spend an additional $2 million for a 1967- 68 appraisal?" The question was asked in a five-point statement issued by Leonard M. Sive, president of the Charter organization. Mr. Morr, who succeeded George Guckenberger as auditor in March, 1959, recently entered into a $2 million contract with a Dayton, Ohio, firm of appraisers, to appraise property in the county. This firm, Mr.

Morr said Saturday night, has similar contracts covering 57 of Ohio's 88 counties. "This appraisal is being made because state law requires it to be made," he declared, adding "and Mr. Sive knows that." Mr. Sive contended that "in the six period, 1960-65, the country auditor spent $2,949,845.26 on appraising and reappraising real property in Hamilton County. This compares with expenditures of $462,475.77 for the six-year period 1954- 59 and $192,966.66 for 1948- 53." Full appraisals of the type now under way were not required during Mr.

Guckenberger's terms of office, Mr. Morr said, anent the figures cited for 194-53 and 1954-59. He said his office would issue a statement Monday. Father Ruthman Rev. Arthur G.
