May 24, 1960 The 4-Aigona (la.) Upper Des Moines Tuesday, May 24, 1960 Boys Get Sentral Senior Class Scholastic Honors Fenton David L. Weber and Craig Blanchard, both of Lone Rock. Wednesday night were valedictorian and salutatorian at Sentral high school. David is the son of Mr and Mrs David Weber and Craig is the son of Mr and Mrs Don Blanchard. Blanchard also was recipient of the citizenship award from the Iowa Bar association.

Attorney L. W. Nitchals. Algona, presented the award. Weber, whose grade point average is 3.906.

plans to go to Wal- dorf college. Blanchard has chosen Buena Vista college. His average is 3.812. Third and fourth place seniors are Nancy Fischer. Lone Rock.

She taught rural school several years before her marriage. She is survived by a son Marvin, 1960 graduate of Cylinder high school and a son Ronnie and a daughter Lois who is to be confirmed June 5. Other survivors are two brothers, Omer and Orvis and three 'sisters, Mrs Percy Jacobson, Mrs Helen Barth and Mrs Oscar Berkland all of the Cylinder area. Mrs Johnson was a member of St. John's Lutheran church at Depew where she was a Sunday school teacher until poor health forced her to resign.

Kathryn Alt Band Queen Fenton Kathryn Alt, Sentral high school senior, will be Miss Sentral as El candidate for Miss North Iowa at the Band Festival, June 14, in Mason City. She is a daughter of Mr and Mrs Larry Alt of Fenton. Kathy has been a twirler for 7 years and has also been active in chorus, glee club, cheerleading, and other activities.
