Seirtral Seniors Tall Plans The following is a brief summary of the activities of gradual- ing seniors of Sentrtil high school. Also listed, are their plans for the corning year. Of the 48 graduating, 25 plan to attend a college, or a trade school. Six plan to enlist in a branch of the service, twelve are going to work and five have no definite plans at the present time. Kaihryn All — Active in vocal music groups and has been selected as the Sentral Band Queen at Mason City this year. She has served as Cheerleader during her Junior and Senior years. Kathryn will be employed as office worker at the Weisbrod Implement. Virginia Baktr — Active in Band and has participated in basketball and Softball. Took part in the Junior, class play. Plans to work. Dirrel Berkland — Participated in football this past year, and also served as baseball manager during his sophomore year. He plans to enlist in the Army. Craig Blinchard — Craig has been active in baseball, basketball, football, band and vocal music. He has held class offices. Craig will attend college. Fiank Cannon — Frank has been active in baseball, basketball and football. He took part in the class plays and helped on the Beep staff. He plans to join the U.S. Air Force. Sharon Collins — Sharon has been active in basketball and Softball and participated in Chorus during her freshman year. She plans to attend St. Joseph Mercy School of Nursing at Mason City. . Donald Cherland — Donald has been active in vocal music groups, in band and has participated in baseball. He will attend Waldorf College. Mary England — Mary has been, active in basketball, softball and served as a twirler in the band. She served on the Beep staff. Her plans for the future are undecided. Nancy Fischer — Nancy has been active in both vocal and instrumental music groups. She has done solo work in both and has also served as accompanist. She served as Mason City Band . Queen in 1959. She has held class office, served on the annual staff and took part in class plays. She plans to attend the State University of Iowa. Paul Geitsenauer — Paul has been active in vocal music groups, the band, baseball, basketball and has held class offices. He plans to attend college. > Dennis W. Guerdet — Plans to farm. Barbara Halverson — Barbara has participated in Mixed Chorus nnd Girls Glee Club. She served as basketball manager during her senior year. She plans to atlcncl Lutheran Bible Institute in Minneapolis. Merit Halverson — Merle has been active in - vocal music groups, band, basketball, football and baseball. He took part in the Junior class play. He plan> to attend Trade School. Carol Hanisch — Carol has been active in vocal music- groups, the band, basketball, softball. She served as the Beep editor, ' a cheerleader, took part in speech contest .and participated in clas's plays. Carol will study Journalism at Drake University. Fay* Hanttlman — Faye has participated in Chorus and basketball and has served as a band twirler. Her plans are undecided. Susan Hanielman — Susan has been active in both vocal and instrumental music groups. She has done both vocal and instrumental sqlo w6rk. She has served as Librarian, on the Beep staff, and took part in the Junior Class play. She will attend Abbott Hospital School of Nursing in Minneapolis. George HaJtle — Plans to farm. James Henriksen — Plans to farm. • . Larry Householder — Participated in basketball, baseball, Chorus and took part in the Junior and Senior class plays. Plans to attend trade school. Rebecca Householder — Becky was active in basketball and took part in ttte' Junior Class- play. Plans to attend La James School of Beauty Culture at Mason City. Earl Jenis — Has participated in baseball, football, served on the Beep staff and was a member of the Senior class play. He plans to attend college. Judy Jenti — Judy has been active in band and in other instrumental groups, also in vocal music. She plans to do office work. Carol Johanaesen '— Active in basketball and softball. Participated 'in band, chorus and glee club. Served on the Beep staff, took part in the class plays and served as a Librarian. Charles Kern — Chuck participated in football, this past year and in baseball and basketball during his freshman year. He has been a member of the Chorus, taken part in the class plays and is a class officer. His .plans are undecided. Loren Krause — Lorcn was a member of the Senior class play, and took part in C*iorus and baseball during his freshman year. He plans to Study Airline Communications at Gale Institute in Minneapolis. Bernard Laabs — Bernard Laabs has been active in Band Chorus and Glee club. He plans to attend Gale Institute in Minneapolis. Darrel Long '— Active in basketball and also participated in baseball and band during his freshman year. Has been a class officer. He plans to do trucking. Kearn Marlow — Kearn has been active in basketball, also played baseball during his freshman year. He plans to attend a trade school. Lynn Menz — Lynn has participated in Chorus and Glee Club during his Junior and Senior year. Played baseball his freshman year. Took part in the class plays. Undecided. Joanne Mitchell — Joanne has been active in band, participated in vocal music her freshman year and has served as an accompanist. She will -work at the bank at Armstrong. Jerry Newbrough — Jerry has been active in Baseball, basket* ball, football, served on the an* mini staff, and as a class officer and took part in the.class plays. Jerry will attend college. Vergene Norland — Vergene has been active in both vocal and instrumental groups. She has served as a class officer, a member of the Beep staff, a band twirler, and was band queen last year. She plans to attend Northwest Institute i'n Minneapolis. Bernard Pettit — Bernard participated in basketball during his freshman year and in football in the senior year. He plans to join the Air Force. Bonnie Peril — Participated in band, Chorus and softball during the Freshman year, on Beep staff during the Junior year and served as basketball manager during this past year. Plans to work in Virginia. Marlys Radig — Marlys has participated in Chorus, and glee club and has served on the Beep staff, and as a class officer during her freshman year. She plans trt attend Mankato Commercial college. Larry Ramus — Larry has been active in Basketball, baseball and football and has participated in band and vocal music. He plans to join the Air Force. Mary Rossiier — Mary has been a member of the Marching band, a twirler, was a member of the Chorus her freshman year took part in the class play anc served on the Beep staff during the Junior year. She plans to attend Hamilton Business College. LuVerne Band Sets Schedule A scries of band concerts has been slated at LuVerne this summer. The first, concert will be presented Friday, May 27. All concerts, which will feature the LuVerne high school band, under the direction of Peter Farmakis, will be presented on main street, beginning at 8 p.m. Here is the complete schedule: Friday, May 27 Monday, May 30 Friday.
