They have dated "off and,on" as Jackie expresses it, since that time. Jackie is the daughter of Mr and Mrs M. L. VanderWaal, 609 South Minnesota Street, Algona; Bill is the son of Mr and Mrs D. S. Hutchison, formerly of Algona, now of Storm Lake. They both graduated from Algona High School; Bill in 1953 and Jackie in 1954. Jackie graduated in 1958 from Iowa State. Bill attended Iowa State Teachers College, then served four years with the Air Force. He is at present attending Buena Vista College in Storm Lake, and will graduate in June of next year. Finally last fall, their pact was sealed, and the young couple began planning for a spring wedding.
