Your 1992 Annual Transaction Report shows that you spent over $15,000.00 on a new automobile, which you drive on personal business.

That report also shows that you charge the fuel for that vehicle to Cass County. Do you really believe that the taxpayers should pay these expenses? Give us a break, Rick! Last June, you asked the Cass County Commissioners to pay for your flying lessons, on the pretext that'you could transport prisoners. Do you really believe that the taxpayers should pick up the tab for your hobby? Give us a break, Rick! Your Annual Transaction Reports for the last two years show that the taxpayers have been paying your annual dues for the American Bar Association and the Indiana State Bar Association. Membership in these organizations is strictly voluntary. Do you really believe it is fair to the taxpayers to require them to pay your dues for these organizations? Give us a break, Rick! Those same Reports also show that you have been billing the taxpayers for your annual Disciplinary Commission and Continuing Legal Education fees.

These fees are charged to every lawyer who practices in the State of Indiana. Do you really believe the taxpayers should be required to pay yours? Give us a break, Rick! Rick, you claim to be "Our Prosecutor," and tough on crime. Yet, the vast majority of cases you handle are plea bargained. In 1988, while you were both Prosecutor and attorney for the Welfare Department, Child Protective Services substantiated a report of child molestation, which was never prosecuted. The perpetrator was later convicted, in Tippecanoe County, of molesting that child's brother, and is presently serving a 10-year prison term.

His victim, a six- year-old boy, is currently undergoing psychiatric counseling. You say you're tough on crime? Give us a break, Rick! "IT'S TIME FOR A CHANGE!"
