Algona, (la.) Upper Det Meines Tuesday, February S, 1966 Whittemore Catherine P. Steele, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Steele. Willmar, Minn., and Brian A. Espe, son of Mr. and Mrs. Milton Espe, Whittemore, were married Saturday Jan. 29, at 3 p. m. at St. Paul's Lutheran church in Whittemore. Rev. Cleo Kautsch performed the double ring ceremony. ' The bride was attended by Nancy Flygare, maid of honor. Linda Parsons, was bridesmaid. Craig Espe, brother of the groom, was best man. Bradley Steele, brother of the bride, was groomsman. Keith Seely ushered. Mrs. Cleo Kautsch was soloist, accompanied by Rueben Butzke at the organ. A reception was held at Van's Cafe at 5 p. m. Kendra Seely had the guest book. Jean Beck served punch; Cynthia Peterson cut the cake. The bride is a secretary at Northwest Airlines, Inc. in Minneapolis and he is a student in Mason City at the Junior College. (Poundstone Studio Photo) Pump House Fire Fire in the pump house at Faber Const. Co., located on the northeast outskirts of Algona, resulted in an estimated $100 damage here about 11 a. m. Saturday. The thermometer read -20 when firemen hurried to the scene. The fire got its start when an attempt . was made to thaw out the pump.' * The pump and insulation were damaged. Woman Deputy Mrs. Sharon Hansen, the former Sharon Eischen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Eischen, St, Benedict, was appointed second deputy sheriff of Humboldt county during a recent meeting of the Humboldt county board of supervisors. ; She has been employed in the sheriffs office since 1965, and before that was a telephone operator at Humboldt.
