When you and I were together. Sadly Missed kf Ton Lermg WHV Horace Schmldlapp, Broadway pro ducer, formerly of Cincinnati. Schmldlapp attended the funeral wearing dark glasses. The actress was suing him for divorce and was to have signed a property settle ment this week. After the church had been emptied of friends and the curious, relatives gathered at the bier.

The star's mother, Mrs. Clara Rldste, cast an anguished glance at her dead daughter and then collapsed into the arms of her other daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Ross. The graveside ceremony was de layed for nearly 30 minutes by the mother fainting attack. Finally Mrs.

Ridste emerged from ihe family entrance of the church, leaning heavily on the shoulder of her 8-year-old granddaughter, Plana Carole Ross. Bishop Pyman conducted the services because Miss Landis, as a suicide, was refused the rites of the Roman Catholic faith In which she was reared. He Intoned over the audible weeping of the actress's mother: All the world's a stage and all the men and women in it players. People in show business have a peculiar philosophy, whether they be Catholics, Protestants or Jews, so that Shakespeare was correct in writing those lines." The thousand fans crowded on the lawn and courtyard outside the church, heard the bishop con tinue: "Some of us make our entrances best. Some make our exits best Some overplay, some flub their lines.

"But this beloved star made her entrances perfectly. She did not overplay. "Fellow troupers, you don't have to call a second time for people like our beloved friend. "Whenever there was a call, she always came witness her USO ex periences, entertaining troops in Europe and Africa and the Pa cific." And then, as he concluded his GOP Executive sons, Edward J. Clark, Dayton, Ohio; Thomas L.

Clark, Tracy, Richard O. Clark, Wyoming, and Joseph C. and Robert E. Clark, Cincinnati, and 11 grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are being made by the Dhonau-Rosenacker funeral home.
