Phil Studer Kossuth N.F.O. Head For Algeria, (la.) Upper D« Moln« Toatdery, January 45, 1946 At the monthly meeting in January the Kossuth county N, F, O. had its annual election of officers. Philip Studer of Corwith was re-elected as president and Sam Larson of Armstrong was reelected vice president. Mrs. Raymond Kading of Fenton was elected secretary. She became the first lady to be elected to an office in the Kossuth county N. F. 0. Mrs. Thomas Lickteig of Wesley was elected treasurer. Carl Mayland of Titonka, Dr. M. I. Lichter of Burt and Arnold Duer of Armstrong were elected to the board of trustees. President Studer appointed Gerhard Maass publicity director. The main topic was the marketing arrangements now being used to the advantage of members. There have been two new collection points for hogs added recently in our area. Some grain was moved during the first period that ended January 15. Considerably more was signed up for sale during the second period. The members, who attended a special meeting in Spencer on Monday, Jan, 10, passed on important information they received from President Oren Lee Staley. Scouts Receive Awards Here Cub Scouts of Pack 70 had their meeting at the Bryant gym Jan. 18 with Den 3 opening the meeting, pen 1 had the song on transportation. The attendance flag was won by Den 1. Dens Z and 4 had the exhibits of ways and means of transportation. Den 5 had the skit. Awards were given to the following boys: Randy Buscher, Kyle Schattschneider, Allan Ulfers, John Eller, James Monson, Rick Calhoun, Joe Straub, Jeff Stephenson, Steve Long, Gary Carman, Bruce Kent and Scott Dodds. Next month will be registration of the pack into the Prairie Gold Council for another year. Feb. 13 Is designated as Boy Scout Sunday. Each scout attends the church of his choice in uniform. The Blue and Gold banquet is at the next pack meeting Feb. 15 at 6:45 p. m. at the high school Annex. Deli 6 had the closing candle ceremony.
