Council Minutes The city council met in regular meeting Jan. 12, 1966 with Mayor Finn and the following council members present: Muckey,Andreasen, Elbert, Cook andPeirce. Absent: Miller. Minutes of last meetings were approved. Ed Bowman came before the council concerning the construction of a six-car garage on one lot. Mr. Bowman was referred to the Planning and Zoning Commission. Ord. 448 was adopted which is amending the annual license fee for skating rinks, billiard halls and bowling alleys. The engagement of Knobbe, Gallagher, Volberding and Wadsworth, certified public accountants, to audit the cities books for 1965 was approved. The appointment of Veda Murtagh and Marion Will to the Planning and Zoning Commission was approved. The appointment of Miles Sloniker and Frank Moulton to the Playground Commission was approved. Rules and order of business was adopted for the transaction of business of the Council. Wage resolution for the year 1966 was adopted. Increase of $12.00 per month was approved. Authorized the Police Chief to ask for bids on a new police car. Bids to be opened at the next regular council meeting. Authorized the Police <Chief to ask for bids on a new radio base station. Authorized the police department to send Assistant Police Chief to traffic school at Iowa City, la. Authorized the city attorney, at the next regular council meeting, to present to the council for adoption the following amendments to the parking ordinance. "No parking from 2 a. m. to 6 a. m. on the following streets from McGregor to North street ; Ridgley, Williams, Hall, Thor- Jngton, Dodge, Moore, Harlan, Jones, Minnesota, Wooster, Colby, McPherson and Phillips and from Ridgley to Phillips it would be McGregor, Nebraska, State and Call and North street.
