Mr. Wertz was a resident of the Indiana area for the past 24 years and was a member of the Free Methodist Church. He was a field engineer for the Felmont Oil Corporation, having been associated with the company for some 30 years. Surviving are his widow, Freda Gearhart Wertz, whom he married on July 9, 1932; a son, Major Ronald G. Wertz, U.S.A.F.
