Farley, the Democratic National Chairman, told Governor Davey of Ohio he could not be a delegate to the national convention. Davey and a delegation of 30 Democratic leaders were here last week to assure the Administration the party was united in Ohio and would carry the state in November for President Roosevelt. Donahey's denial was made in a letter to Francis Poulson, Chairman of the State Democratic Executive Committee, and was intended for publication in the Ohioan, the party's newspaper. "Believing in political honesty and fair play," Donahey wrote, "I resent the statement made in Ohio newspapers that Governor Davey was flatly informed by Roosevelt leaders that he could not be a delegate to the national convention.
