Dodge got off to a. 13-0 lead with victories in the first three matches of the night and went on to post a 26-18 victory over the Alg'ona Bulldogs In a dual wrestling meet Friday at Ft. Dodge. Steve Claude got Algona's first points when he got a draw at 12Q. then Tom Samp picked up a decision to make it 15- 5. AnAlgona loss at 133 ran the Dodger's lead to 18-5 before Clint Young got a draw at 138 to run the count to 20-7. Then Russ Shaw picked up a decision at 145 and Dave Martin got a fall at 154 - and the Bulldogs were right back In the battle, with the score at 20-15. Then Bruce Bennett dropped a tough 1-0 decision at 165 and Bob Bradford lost at 180 before Tom Fitzpatrick won at heavyweight. The loss gave the Bulldogs a 2-4 mark in dual meets before the holiday lay-off. They travel to Osage for an Invitational Meet Dec. 29. Martin and Fitzpatrick remained unbeaten with their wins against the Dodgers. The junior varsity picked up a 27-22 win in the curtain-raiser as Don Camp and Brad Farnham got falls, Larry Olson a forfeit, and Dean Teeter, Larry Taylor, Phil Bode and Kevin Hoover decisions. Varsity results: 95 - Tim Friederichs (FD) pinned Paul Watkins, 5:05. 103 - John Cuckie (FD) pinned Bill Carlson, 1:23. 112 - Verne Allison (FD) de- cisloned Larry Monger, 3-1. 120 - Bob Tague (FD) drew with Steve Claude, 4-4. 127 - Tom Samp, (A), de- cisioned Jim Neighbors, 6-4. 133 - Ted Andrews (FD) de- cisioned Randy Riedinger, 9-4. 138 - Steve Durian (FD) drew with Clint Young, 6-6. 145 - Russ Shaw (A), de- cisioned Ron Pederson, 2-0. 154 - Dave Martin (A) pinned Dennis Olson, 5:16. 165 - Tom White (FD) de- cisioned Bruce Bennet, 1-0. 180 - Jerry Sankey (FD) de- clsioned Bob Bradford, 11-0.
