DEAR ABBY Psychologist Or Psychiatrist? By Abigail Van Buren tf71 IT TrtMM-N. f. Ntwt Inc. DEAR ABBY: A wife complained that her husband, a psychologist, was being intimate with some of his women patients. IHe said It was "in the line of You told her that her husband needed to see a psychiatrist.

Why didn't you recommend a psychologist? Some psychologists are as competent as psychiatrists to treat individuals with emotional problems. WANTS TO KNOW DEAR WANTS: A psychiatrist Is first a physician, which qualifies him to rule out a physical problem that could be responsible for the emotional problem. Furthermore, only a physician is able to prescribe medication, should it be needed. A psychologist who behaves in an unethical manner engaging in intimacies with patients is indeed should, in my opinion, see a psychiatrist. And I'd make the same recommendation for a lawyer, C.

P. or any other professional person who gets carried away in the line of duty and appears hell-bent on destroying his family and livelihood. If the psychiatrist decides that only psychotherapy is indicated, a referral to a clinical psychologist could then be made. DEAR ABBY: You advised someone to "go the 70x7 route," and no one in our office can figure out what you meant. Please clarify.

STUMPED AT KRUPP'S DEAR STUMPED: I meant that however many 7, or trespasses against you, if he asks forgiveness, forgive him. Testament: Matthew, XVI- II, DEAR ABBY: I am a 14-year-old boy with an unusual problem. For the last two years I have had a paper route and done odd jobs. I have saved $800 to do with what I please. My sister lives in Belgium and has asked me to visit her during vacation time.

She is 28 and teaches school there. My mom said I may go, but my father hit the ceiling. He said I was too young to learn anything, that it would be a waste of time and money for me to make that trip at age 14. Abby, I do well in school and I think I would learn a lot if I made this trip. I earned all the money myself and saved it, and I think I should be allowed to go.

What do you think? YOUNG READER: YELM, WASH. DEAR READER: From your letter I would say you are a responsible young man and would learn a great deal from the trip. Furthermore, a 14-year-old boy who can earn and save $800 should be permitted to spend it as he sees fit. vote with Mom. P.

S. If you go, send me a DEAR ABBY: Two years ago I had a wedlock. Because I was pregnant, unable to work, and unmarried, I filed for public aid. After the baby came I was advised to file a paternity suit against Roy, the baby's father. Roy admitted paternity, and the court ordered him to pay me child support every month, which he does.

Roy is marrying a girl who lives about 50 miles away. He says his fiancee knows nothing about the child and he has no intentions of telling her. I think he should. The child carries Roy's last name and if anything should happen to me, he would have to take the child. Roy is 30 years old, makes a very good living, and this will be his first marriage.

Would I be out of line to let Roy's fiancee know about our child? If I were in her place, I'd want someone to tell me. CONSIDERING IT DEAR CONSIDERING: Tell Roy he is unrealistic, unfair, and kidding himself if he thinks he can keep this illegitimate child a secret from his wife forever. I would not tell the girl, but I would advise you to urge Roy to before the wedding. CONFIDENTIAL TO JOHNNY: The best things in life are far from oftentimes come with experience. And experience can be expensive.

He also knew that North held at least two diamonds. This made it possible for South to count to 13 tricks provided one of North's kings was in spades. If he did not hold the spade king there would be the same play for either grand slam so South bid seven no-trump and got his top score. (NEWSPAPER ENTERPRISE ASSN.) The bidding has been: West North By Oswald James Jacoby In rubber bridge, seven spades is the correct North- South contract. It can only he beaten if the opening lead is ruffed.

It is also a pretty good contract in match point duplicate but seven no-trump is a better one. It won't make if diamonds break 5-1 and the man with five diamonds hangs onto all of them, but the extra 10 points are going to mean a top score as against one just a trifle above average. Here is how one pair got this top score by use of one of our conventions, the Ja- coby two no-trump. South's two no-trump response had nothing to do with no-trump but showed a strong spade raise. This makes a dandy container for your scouring pad. Place pad in the flower pot after each use. This keeps the rust, soap, water etc. off the drainboard and the little holes in the bottom of the pot allow water to drain, thus preserving the pad longer. The little flower pot may also be decorated for a more attractive effect.

This has worked so nicely for me, I thought I might share it with others. Hope you like it! Barbara Holden LETTER OF LOVE Dear Heloise: With Mother's Day coming along soon, I would like to tell you what my two sisters and I do for our mother. At 73, it is hard for her to get down on her knees to plant flowers. So each of us buys her favorite kind of flowers, and we plant them in her yard so she can enjoy them all summer. Mrs.
