He loved working for the public," his son James Amatangelo said Sunday. Mr. Amatangelo of Macomb Township died Wednesday of a heart attack at Memorial Hospital West in Pembroke Pines, Fla.

He was 72. A native of Rocca Pia, Italy, Mr. Amatangelo moved to the United States with his parents in 1933. He served in the U.S. Army in Japan during World War II.

During his career, Mr. Henkelman also served as president of the South Oakland County Board of Realtors and director of the Detroit Board of Realtors. In his free time, Mr. Henkelman of Farmington Hills enjoyed fishing, powerboating and caring for Labrador retrievers. He was a former president and commodore of the Detroit Boat Club.

"I've been on a boat ever since I was born," said his daughter Nancy Hagedonof South Lyon. "He loved being out on the water." Mr. Henkelman is also survived by a son, Eric, and two grandchildren. Visitation will be 2-9 p.m. today at Thayer-Rock Funeral Home, 33603 Grand River in Farmington.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. in Warren, the Sunnybrook Golf Course in Sterling Heights and the Suburban Chop House in Livonia. In 1969, they bought the Salt River Golf Course in Chesterfield Township and added a bowling center and racquet-ball club before selling the complex in 1986. In 1988, they and Mr.

Amatange-lo's son Dennis bought the Raintree Golf Resort in Pembroke Pines. A year later, they bought the Oakridge Golf Course in Lenox Township. They added the 18-hole Marsh Oaks course to Oakridge in 1997. He is survived by his wife, Lorraine; sons Dennis, James, Alex and Ronald; a daughter, Lynne Campa-long, and 10 grandchildren. Irwin Watson Comedian, musician ORLANDO, Fla. Irwin (Watty) Watson, 70, a comedian and musician who appeared in nightclubs and on television, stage and cruise ships, died Feb. 1 of a heart attack. During the 1950s and '60s, Mr. Watson frequently appeared on television and on the stage.

He was a comedy star on "That Was the Week That Was" with David Frost; a regular on the Tonight Show" with Johnny Carson, and he appeared with Ed Sullivan, Steve Allen, Mike Douglas and on other shows.
