JIM SCHNEIDER For the past 22 years the meat department at HOOD'S SUPER VALU in Algona has been operated by Jim Schneider. Prior to that he ran the meat department of Hood's In Bancroft for seven years, under W. J. Hood, gjr. During this time hundreds of you have come to know Jim personally, and we know you join with us in wishing Jim his wife Mary, and their son Bob, the best of everything In their future plans. The Schneiders have purchased and are now operating, Helen's Modern Bungalows, a 13-cottage resort located on Cross Lake, Minn, and featuring housekeeping units. He comes to us from - Osceolaj Iowa, where he headed a Super Valu meat department for the past five years. Delmar and his wife are both natives of Nashua, Iowa, where they graduated from high school. Delmar attended the National School of Meat Cutting, Toledo, Ohio, completing this finest training school in the country in 1952. Since then he has worked up through Super Valu stores, and HOOD'S introduce him as a worthy successor to Jim Schneider, with whom he has worked for the past 10 days in our meat department. Chuck Stevenson and family of Minneapolis will visit his mother, Mrs. Olive Herbst, and the Ted Herbst family over Thanksgiving weekend. They are expected to arrive Wednesday. - o - KENDRA SEELY, sophomore at Northwest Missouri State College at Maryville, spent last weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Seely. - o GUESTS OF Dr. and Mrs. J. B. Harris, Jr. for Thanksgiving will be her sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. M. D. Stewart of Eldora, who will arrive Wednesday. - o GUESTS OF Mr. and Mrs. William Kirkland for the Thanksgiving weekend will be Mrs. Kirkland's daughter, Corliss Rupp, student at Dubuque University, and her roommate, Patty Riesen of New York City. The girls are expected to arrive Wednesday. - o GLENN (BUCKY) Buchanan, student at Iowa University at Iowa City, will arrive Wednesday to spend the Thanksgiving weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Allen Buchanan. - 6 MR. AND MRS. Harold Cowan left Tuesday for Omaha, wbere they spent overnight. Wednesday, they boarded a plane for Los Angeles where they will spend two weeks with Mrs. Cowan's brother, Dick Dale. - o - GUESTS OF Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Robinson were Mr. and Mrs. William Durey of Des Moines. Mr. and Mrs. Robinson will spend the Thanksgiving weekend with relatives at and near Ryan. They will enjoy the holiday dinner with her aunt and husband, Mr. and Mrs. U. S. Baxter at Ryan. Relatives of Mr. Robinson live nearby, and the couple plan to visit them, also. - o - MR. AND MRS.
