H. Victor Stead at Maquoketa. MRS. HAZEL Lusby, Mrs. Pearl Potter, Mrs.

Ann Hanson and Capitola Sample went to Mason City Friday to see Mrs. Elvira Monlux who is at Park hospital where she was taken a few days ago after a fall in which she suffered a broken Her son, Dr. Robert Monlux, is here from San Jose, Calif. A WORKSHOP for church officers of the Northwest lowaMeth- odist conference will be held in Storm Lake Methodist church Nov. 13, 10 a.

m. to 4 p. m. The subject will be Christian Social Concerns and should be attended by the WSCS President, Christian Concerns chairman, lay leader, MYF president, pastor and anyone interested. Dr.

Samuel Levering will be the leader. MRS. RUSSELL Cooks birthday was observed Nov. 4 by Mrs. Henry Johannsen, Mrs.

Esther Helberg and Audrey Frye. PERRY COLLINS had business to transact Friday in DesMoines and was accompanied by Mrs. Collins. They went to Menlo to see Mrs. Collins' mother, Mrs.

Edith Fritz, who is again at home after hospitallzation. DR. GEORGE Bartlett came from New Sharon last week for a visit with his son, Wesley and family. Bill, a student at Morningside college, Sioux City, and Barbara, who teachers at Storm Lake, came home for the weekend. MR.

AND MRS. Donald Hutchison have been spending some time at Kansas City with their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Newton and family. MR.

AND MRS. Roy Adams have been visited by Mrs. Cora Rising and Marian, Canon City Colo. They also visited at West Bend with Mrs. Rising's sister, Mrs.

Irvin Shellmeyer, and at Ottumwa with another daughter, Gladys Rising Bell and family. MR. AND MRS. Roy Adams had as dinner guests Sunday their grandchildren, Linda, Mark, Karen, Barbara and Nancy, children of Garmon Adams of Whittemore. Linda came from Sioux City and returned there Monday.

She is a student at St. Joseph's School of Nursing. DEER Roger Bolstad took a buck deer late last month with a bow and arrow which is the largest taken in the Rice Lake area by any means.
