(82*) Council Okays Sanitary Sewer On Poplar St. City council in regular session Wednesday evening authorized the- construction of an extension of a sanitary sewer on Poplar street from Putnam street. Distance is about 270 feet on Poplar, with a cost estimated at approximately $1,000. Construction is expected to start within the week. Authorized was the installation of 60 feet of metal pipe, construction to be at the intersection -Qi north Lowe and Call streets. Transfer of $2,000 was authorized from the emergency fund to the recreational fund, subject to the approval of the state comptroller. A letter of resignation of Steve Ostrum of the recreation commission was read and accepted. Mr. and Mrs. Ostrum moved to Dubuque this week.
