BENJAMIN R. WEBB, 61, of 829 Ben Franklin Road North, Indiana, died Tuesday, Tuesday, Sept. 3,1991, in Indiana Hospital. A son of English Sr. and Jannie Hoffer Webb, he was born Jan. 10, 1930, in McKeesport. Mr. Webb was a member of the Morningstar Baptist Church, Clairton; James Roister American Legion Post 817, Clairton; the Hollywood Club and IBPO E!ks, New Kensington. He was a former member and president of the Clairton School Board and a graduate of Xavier University, New Orleans, La., where he received a degree in pharmacy. He served as a corporal in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was owner/chief executive officer of R&W Circle Industries, Indiana, and pharmacist and former owner of Webb's Pharmacy, Clairton. Surviving are his father; his foster mother, Anna Bell Webb, Jefferson; his wife, Nell Pope Webb; two sons, Frederick, Frederick, McKeesport, and Devlin, Indiana; a daughter, Ronny Webb Marline, Penn Hills; two stepsons, Sydney and John Wesley Pope, both of Indiana; three grandchildren; two brothers, George, Atlanta, Ga., and'English Jr., Clairton; two sisters, Mary Maxwell, Clairton, and Beatrice Newby, Columbus, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother and his foster father, John Wesley Webb. Friends will be received from 2-4 p.m. Friday at the Walter S. Waters Funeral Home, Clairton, and from 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Morningstar Baptist Church, Clairton. Clairton. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church with the Rev. W. Nathan Simon officiating. Interment will follow in Restland Memorial Park, Monroe Monroe ville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Visiting Nurse Association.
