Last Civil War Veteran Passes Winlock, Aug-. 3. -- Thomas Henry Crocker, agred 89 years, died Tuesday morning at his home here. Mr. Crocker was the last ofi Winlock's honored old Civil War veterans. He was a member of the 77th regriment, Iowa infantry r.nd of the G. A. R. He was born ruary 12, 1848, in Decatur count}', In- , dmna. In March, 1876, he was married to Mary Ann' Skinner, in Keokuk :y, lowu. later homesteading in Nebras- :\, and from Nebraska to Winlock in I 1SSS, having- lived here close to 50 years.. He became ill in February of tins year, prior to t h a t ,he had excellent health. Five children sur- I vive: Mrs. Lottie Shoemaker, Wirlock; Ben F. Crocker, Boistfort: Roy Crocker, Thomas N. Crocker and George H ' Crocker all of Winlock. There are also 14 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. A sister, Mrs. Pasha biers, lives in Martinsburg, la. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 ' p. m. from Cattermole's f u n e r a l Â«ev. Ted Goodwin of Ryderwood, officiating. Burial will be in the local cemetery, w i t h f u l l military honors.
