President of the Arkansas Jockey Club and a member, of th American Turf Congress, gave out th following statement statement to-night to-night to-night relative to th resignation of President W. F. Schulte. of the Turf Congress: "Th'e members of the congress can see no cause for Mr. Bchulte's resignation, resignation, simply because a majority of the tracks of.tbe West were opposed to the Turf Congress fixing date for th various associations. We tried that at the annual meeting In Chicago and found it utterly Impossible to do so without disrupting the congress. We think Mr. Schulte makes a good President, and has the best Interest Interest of racing at heart, and as to the matter matter of closer connection between the con-a-rem con-a-rem con-a-rem con-a-rem con-a-rem and the Kastern Jockey Club we think that he wonld have the support of every member of the congress, should he see fit to call the congress together in th near future.
