Blaze Victim Set Saturday Frank Atcheson, Sr., Will Be Buried At Graham Following His Tragic Death In Lubbock Thursday Afternoon Trapped In Shop Local Craftsman Was Working By Neighbors And Aid Quickly Summoned T AST rites for Frank Atcheson, *-* ST., 51-year-old carpenter and cabinet-maker who was fatally burned in his shop here yesterday morning, will be said in Graham, \oung county, former home of the Atcheson family, tomorrow. Definite funeral arrangements had not been made at an early hour this morning, pending the arrival of relatives. Victim of devouring flames, source of which probably never will be definitely determined, Mr. Atcheson died at Lubbock sanitarium shortly before 3 o'clock Thursday afternoon. Terribly burned and with a laceration on hie head, the local craftsman was rushed to the sanitarium about 10:45 Thursday morning and after examination and treatment attending physicians said he could not possibly recover. Was Alone In Shop Mr. Atcheson was alone at work in his cabinet shop, 2208 19th street, shortly before 10:30 Thursday morning. First intimation that anything was wrong about the place came when J. W. Kolb, 'proprietor of an adjacent filling station, heard groans emanating from the small frame structure which served Mr. Atcheson as a workshop. Seeing smoke pouring from the building, Mr. Kolb called for help and went to the rescue. The cry for help was answered by four men, C. A. Gibson, W. T. Sinclair, W. P. Daniels and A. D. Stanley, who were gathered in the Gibson store directly across the street from the cabinet shop. As they dashed across the street they saw Mr. Atcheson, his clothing enveloped in flames, fall Just inside . the front door of the building from which he was seeking to escape.
