Hovis Funeral to Be Held Thursday Funeral services for Mrs. Dolly Anne Hovis, 88, resident of Franklin, R. D. 1, for the past 48 years, who died at 6:30 p. a, Monday in the home1 of her son- in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Nathan O'Connor, 242 Grant Street, will be held Thursday at 2 p. m. irt the O Connor home. Rev. A. C. Spencer, pastor of the Maple Dale Free Methodist Church, will officiate. Interment will be in the Franklin Cemetery. Mrs. Hovis was born July 3, 1861, in Bullion, a daughter of the late Jacob and Elizabeth Man son Henderson; bhe spent her early life in the Bullion district. In October, 1884, she was married to the late Ayers Hovis and the couple moved to the former town of Scrubgrass, where they resided until 1901. She attended the Maple Dale Free Methodist Church and was a member of the Nicklin Ladies Aid. She is survived by two daugh ters, Mrs. O Connor and Mrs. Jessie Brown; four sons, Smead F., Jacob, Herbert and Lee El- wood, all of Iranknn: li grand children; 20 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and neph ews. The body has been removed from the Hoovler Funerai Home to the O'Connor residence, where friends may call.
