Hgh School Happenings ' LINCOLN Jed Fritzemeier, Marty Landon and Todd Kelsey have been chosen to represent Lincoln as the West Rotarian, Downtown Ro-tarian and Junior Kiwanian, respectively, during December. The band Felix will play at Snowball Saturday. Dick Yant, Scott Erb, Sue Peters and Dan Taranik captured first place in the championship debate tournament held in Cherokee, Iowa, last weekend. Chuck Rames, Dave Hanson, John Hamilton and Jo Boesch took third place. In the novice forensic tourney, Wayne Whitwam, Royal Koppe-rud, Terry Schneekloth and Amy Winterscheidt took first place. Second place winners were Julie Higgins, Lisa Ditlev, Tod Edel and Bill Carney. To finish the sweep Michele Twedt, Linda Ditlev, Scott Anderson and Joe Armstrong placed third. In Mankato, Minn.: Scott Knudson and Bill Hughes captured third place in championship debate. LHS music department will hold its annual Christmas program Thursday at 8 p.m. in the auditorium. German Club will hold its annual Weihnachsfest Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. About 100 students will visit four German families in the school area and sing carols. WASHINGTON Orators, extempers and debaters all were victorious at the Lillo Tournament in Moorhead, Minn. Sara Horwitz and Andrea Thompson advanced to the final round of oratory. Miss Horwitz placed first and Miss Thompson fifth. Lauri Lillehaug also competed in the final extemp round. Championship debaters were Miss Horwitz, Miss Thompson, Brad Thorfinnson and Mitch Gaffer. This weekend the debaters are competing at the Little National Debate Tournament in St. Paul.
