Gal Center Is Injured EDINBORO, Pa. (UPI) California State center Scott Mountz sustained a fracture of a cheek bone Friday when he was struck by an opposing player in a game with Edinboro. The 6-4 senior from Hummelstown, top rebounder in NCAA Division 2 with 18.6 per game, was taken to Meadville Hospital and then transferred to the West Virginia University Medical Center, Morgantown, W.Va., where he underwent surgery. He will be out for the remainder of the season, school officials said. Officials said Mountz was struck by Edinboro's Randy White, a junior from Cleveland. White was benched by his coach and a technical foul was called against him. California won the game, 92-76.
