M. at a OBITUARY JOSEPH MEEH AN Nurseryman Dies After Long Illness; Served in Civil War Joseph Meehan. member of the firm of Thomas Meehan and Sons, nursery men. and more than sixty years a resident of this city, died yesterdaj at his home at 121 Pleasant street, M. Airy, following rd illness which made him deaf and blind for the last six years. lie had written widely on nursery subjects and conducted a special page in many magazines. Mr. Meehan was a member of the Com Exchange Regiment, Regiment, USth Pennslvania Volunteers, in the Civil War lie was wounded at Shepherdstown, aftei the conflict at Antietam, and later he re-enlisted re-enlisted re-enlisted in the Landis battery of light artillery, ley Wilcox will officiate. Mr. Meghan w-s w-s w-s a member of Ellis Post, No: 0, G. A. R , and the Mt. Airy Lodge of Odd Fallows. Three children survive him. They are Charles E. Meehan and A. Rockwell Rockwell Meehan and Mis. George W. Will-isms. Will-isms. Will-isms. The funeral will be held Monday afternoon at his residence.
