MISS ANNA E, VASQUEZ. Retired Teacher, 85, Was Baughter Baughter of a Wagon-Train Scout. Bernard Glvrm. James Gleesen. Edward Fisher. Services for Miss Anna E. Vasquez, 85, who died Monday at the home, 1506 Linwood boulevard, boulevard, after an illness of two weeks, will be held at 10 o’clock Thursday at St. Vincent’s Catholic Catholic church. Charles Hayes. Miss Vasquez was bom in Independence, Independence, the daughter of the late Thomas H, Vasquez, a trader and scout who took wagon trains from Kansas City to Mexico. Her father was in business at one time with Jim Bridger and was associated with Kit Carson on trips across the Santa Fe trail. Her mother, the former Miss Jane Self, was the daughter of John Self, who arrived in Missouri Missouri in 1000. Miss Vasquez had been a teacher teacher in the Kgnsas City public school system ‘fifty years before she retired twelve years ago. She had taught at the Karnes school and 'her last assignment was at the Longfellow school. Miss Vasquez specialized in the teaching of second grade classes.! She was a member of St. Vincent’s Vincent’s Catholic church and the Altar society. A cousin, Mrs. Ellas Shores, 2902 Belleview,avenue, survives.!
