Dr O B Finney duel
Duelling.—Roger A Pryor, Esq., appeared|in the Mayor's Court, yesterday, to answar a charge of accepting a challenge from Dr. O. B. Finney, to fight a duel, and leaving the city for the purpose of fighting, as aforesaid. Mr. Pryor expressed bis readiness to have the matter at once investigated, bat certain engagements of his counsel require*! them to ask a continuance, and the Mayor accordingly accordingly postponed the matter until to-day, and Mr. Pryor gave bail in the sum of $3,000 to appear at 11 o'clock, A. M., with Lewis E. Harvie, Esq , of Amelia, as his security. Charles Irving, Esq., then appeared to answer a similar accusation, he having been arrested as the second of Mr. Pryor. It is due to Mr. Irving that we should say that as soon as the officer called at his hotel, he sent down and asked him up to his room, and on learning his business, accompanied him to the Mayor's office without hesitation. Mr. Irving also gave bail for his appearance to-day. In the sum of $3,000, with Mr. Harvie and Mr Chas. Boswell as his securities.
