8 Kentuckians Liberated From Jap Camps Eight Kentuckians, -including two Louisvillans, have been liberated from Japanese prisoner-of-war camps, the War Department announced yesterday. They are First Sgt. William C. Alford, Harrodsburg; Pfc. Earl M. Conover, Columbia; Cpl. Alfred H. Eckles, Hopkinsville; Pvt. Earl Fowler, Burg in; Pvt. Arlan McKnight, Langnau; Pvt. Albert D. Stengler, 204 W. Hill; Sic Richard James Herman, 121 N. 35th, and Pvt. Grover D. Whit-tinghill, Cornishville.
