McClure or Jamestown, Jamestown, was the scene of a quiet, but pretty wedding Wednesday evening at 8 o'clock, when their daughter, llrace Linnwood became the bride of Micajah C. .lacksiih, of Newport News, Va., the ceremony being performed by Jtev. T. J. Rogers, of Pomona. Misses Annie Mctiehee and Ivsteiie Jones received the guests at the living room door, then ushered them Into the reception hall, which was decorated with palms, t'erjps and carnations, the olor scheme being pink, wnite anu gree.n As the ciock struck, s ansa Linoa Barnes played the wedding march from Lohengrin. Preceedtng the bride came the bridesmaid. Miss Nell McCraven. of Charlotte, cousin of the bride, with Henry Holton, of Jamestown; Jamestown; the maid of honor. Miss Allene sister of the bride: the groom with his brother. William Jackson, of Newport NewB, Va.: the little ring bearer. Tresa, sister of the bridge, carrying the ring in the heart of a rose. Then the bride entered on the arm of her father, who gave her in marriage. The bride was gowned In a pretty blue tricotine coat suit with the brown accessories, wearing a bride's bouquet of sweet peas. The bride, kneeling on a white satin pillow with bridegroom by her side, under a wnite ana green arc. Rev. Rogers spoke the words which made the couple man and wife. During During the ceremony Miss Barnes played softly "To a Wild Rose." The bridle party left the room lo the strains of the Mendelssohn wedding march. They were then ushered Into the dining room, where Misses Nell and Dorothy McClure McClure served cream and cake, the color color scheme, yellow and white, being tastefully carried out. After the reception tho bride and brdiegroom motored to High Point, where they boarded train No. 12 for the bridegroom's home in Newport News, Va.. where they will make their home.
