Yugoslavs Spare American's Life BELGRADE () The Yugoslav Yugoslav Federal Presideum commuted the death sentence of Ivan Pintar, an American citizen who was to have been put to death for alleged international espionage. The decision reversed that of the Federal Supreme Court. It came only a week after United States Embassy Counsellor John Cabot reportedly had discussed the Pintar case with Yugoslav Foreign Foreign Ministry representatives.
