Lazelle, who has lately been promoted from a lieutenant colonel- colonel- ship in the Eighteenth Infantry to his present position in the Twenty-third, Twenty-third, Twenty-third, spent yesterday in town with his wife, and stopped last night at the 8t Charles Hotel. By direction of the secretary of war Malor Benjamin F. Pope, surgeon, is relieved from duty at Fort Clark, Texas, and will report report for duty to the commanding officer Whipple Barracks, Arizona, territory, porting also by letter to the commanding officer department of Arizona.
