GLENDALE, March 21 – From the hands of President Roosevelt on Thursday morning, 16-year-old Kenneth N. Walker, Jr. of Glendale will receive a Medal of Honor awarded to the boy's father, Brig. Gen. Kenneth N. Walker, for "conspicuous gallantry." The general was reported by the Army as missing in combat after he failed to return from a successful air raid on Rabaul, New Britain, last Jan. 5 [1943].
