But increasing age and delicate health necessitated a relaxation of work, so lately he has been 'leading quiet life. He belonged to the Odd Fellows, Knignts of Pythias, and Order of Tonti, and was a consistent member of the M. E. church. He married Miss Kate, daughter of the late Gideon Mantz ot this city, who with four children survives him. The only surviving member of his immediate family is his sister, Miss Elizabeth Darby.
