Mo., Sept. 27.—Funeral 27.—Funeral services for Leonard Ray Mearcs, who died Sunday morning from an accUlontal gun-shot wound ecelved while hunting .Saturday afternoon, will be held,at 2:30 'clock tomorrow afternoon at the Methodist Episcopal church. The body will Ho In state at tho I'lmer-Drako funeral home until tho hour oC tho funeral. High St^hool Sophomore. Mearcs was 16 years old and had rosldcil in Jasper county all his life. He was a sophomore in tho high .school and was a halfback on tho football squiid. He Is survived by his i)arents, I^Ir. and Mrs. Leonard Leonard Meares, 508 West Macon street, two sisters. Misses An-etta and Mablc Meares, anil two grandmothers, grandmothers, Mrs. Elizabeth Michael and Mrs. Mary Meares. The accident occurred on the farm of his uncle, Martin Moares, five and a half miles southeast of Carthago. Ho died at the uncle's home.
