Private at Pearl Harbor Sends Message of Cheer to Mothers This will deliver a message to all worry about their sons over here as they are well protected and have the best morale. Give my love to all and tell them to take good care of you and their families. We will do our best over here. . . Your loving son. George." mothers with sons on the firing line, from a first class private who went through the bombing of Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7. Writing to his own mother, Mrs. Mabel G. Loveless of 127 MafSt Street, Elkton, Private George Loveless says: "Mother, tell everybody not to worry about their sons over here. They are well protected and have the best morale. Love and kisses from us all to you darling mothers." Mrs. Loveless, who is 64 years old, has forwarded her son's letter to the Journal-Every Evening so that his message may reach other mothers. Of her four sons, two are in the army, a third is in service at a proving ground, and the fourth is engaged in defense work. "I thought many a mother would be cheered to read this loving message to all mothers," she writes. "I myself am one of the soldiers on the first line of defense, and m:?hty proud of my sons. The letter is dated Dec. 9. and was received in Elkton on Jan. 5. "Dearest Mother: Please do riot worry about me, being over here, because everything is all right. We just had a lot of excitement, and that is all; but they will never get another chance like that. Everybody is in great shape and are happy and not worried about anything.
