F.stherville, Iowa, Daily News, Monday, March 2, 1970 Woman Dies; Rites Held in Swea City SWF.A CITY - Mrs. Majnard (Hernice) Hurlburt, 56, died at 1:05 a.m. Friday at Holy Family Family Hospital from cancer. She had boon in failing health since January. She was born Dec. 0, inn, at Tama to Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Flier. She was educated in the Rings tod and Haifa schools. On Oct. '-'(1, 1 '.):)•», she was married to Maynard Hurlburt at Mallard. Following her marriage, marriage, the couple lived for seven years in Graettinger and in l'.l-Hi they moved to a farm near Swea City. They farmed in the Swea City area until 1968, when they retired to Swea City. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Swea City. Survivors include her husband, husband, Maynard, Swea City; two daughters, Mrs. John (Deloris) Black, Algona; and Mrs. David (Carol) Fit/, Sioux Falls, S.O.; two sons, Lyman, Fonda, and Myron, Rapid City, S.D.; 10 grandchildren; one brother, Orville Orville Flier, Minnea|x>lis, Minn.; two sisters, Mrs. Oral Headrick, Headrick, Curlew, and Mrs. Art Anderson, Savage, Minn.; and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Flier of Armstrong. Funeral services were to be held today at 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Swea City with Rev. W. M. Bloodworth officiating. Burial was to be in Harrison Township Cemetery in Swea City.
