for scriptures Italian Colonel Visits Father's Greensburg Grave Col. Vincenzo Pietrandrea of Italy has realized a long time dream by visiting his father's grave in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery. Col. Pietrandrea was only five years old in 1914 when father, Erminio, left Italy and came to the United States in search of work. He settled in Greensburg and obtained a job with the Pennsylvania Railroad, intending to bring his family Greensburg. He never got the chance, for on June 5, 1917, Erminio was killed in a train accident. accident. Vincenzo attended military school in Italy with part of insurance money paid at the time of his father's death, and was first commissioned in the Italian army in 1932. Now a colonel, he is stationed near Rome, where his wife teaches school.
