BUND MAN IS SENTENCED. George W. Cubert to Serve Six Months at the Indiana Penal Farm. George W. Cubert, - a blind "man. and a familiar figure in the downtown district, where he be?s?d and sold papers, was sentenced to (the Indiana penal farm for six months in juvenile court today. Cubert was before the court. December 3. ISIS, on a charpe of drunkenness and failure to provide for his youngest child. The evidence was that Cubert obtained money enough, begging and selling papers, fb have provided for the child, but that he spent most of it In saloons. The child" was put in the custody of an older brother. Cubert was at that time sen tenced to the penal farm, but the sen tence was suspended. The older son complained in Juvenile court that Cubert had gone to his horn and made trouble because of the child, and that the ton had been forced to move because of objections made . by neigh bora. Since Cubert's wife left him a few weckg nto. he has been rooming with another blind man, and when they were separated, today, as Cubert was taken to Jail, they fell into each other's arms and kissed each other goou - Dy.
