ONE MONTH FOR SMALL BOTTLE Deputy Marshal J. P. Lowe arrested Jess Darr for furnishing liquor to Indians Sunday afternoon. The gentleman gentleman had been suspected by the officers for some time but they had not been able to secure evidence enough against him to secure a conviction, conviction, A watch was kept with the result stated. On Sunday afternoon Lowe saw Darr talking to Harvey Hale and saw Hale give him somathing. Darr immediately immediately wont into a saloon and returned returned with a flask which he laid down and walked away, Hale walked up and pocketed it. Lowe immediately immediately descended upon the redman and took the flask from him and arrested him for being drunk, Darr was also arrested. Hale waxed wroth and said that he was going to have Lowe arrested for stealing his whiskey and that Lowe had given it to him. He did not make good on his threat^ and was fined .?1D by Judge Orooket£ Monday morning, Darr told the officers that he was guilty and that there was no use fighting the case as he had no money. Ho went before Judge Crockett Crockett and j)lead guilty and was fined thirty days or $30. Owing to the condition of his finances he took lodging lodging with Sheriff Smith, This capture will net the oflicer $25 under the ordinance ordinance recently pasted by the board of supervisors.
