Mrs. M. Fletcher Funeral Service Held At Reliance By Republic News Service RELIANCE — Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie May Fletcher, 83, were held May 5 at the Methodist Shurch in Reliance. The Rev. Xoger Tanquist officiated and jurlal was in the Reliance cemetery. The casket bearers were Ralph Wfoulton, Donald Fletcher, Roger Fletcher, Ronald Peterson, Roland Peterson and Eugene Tagtow. Minnine May Fletcher was bora Oct. 31. 1875 to Alfred and Mary Ann Fletcher at Adaville, Plymouth County, la., and died May 2, of a cerebral hemorrhage at the Community Bailey Hospital in Chamberlain. She had been in poor health for four years and had been confined to the hospital for two months before her death. She was married to F r e d Fletcher at LeMars, la., Feb. 26, 1891. They lived in Plymouth County, la., until 1893 at which time they moved to South Dakota and homesteaded near the present town of Reliance. Six children were bom to them, two of whom preceded her in death as did her husband, who died Dec. 22, 1949. She maintained her home at Reliance until the time of her death, but for the past year and a half had spent considerable time at the homes of her daughters. Mrs. Fletcher is survived by on* sister, Miss Clara Fletcher of Worthington, Minn., one son, Roy, and three daughters, Mrs. Susie VIoulton, Mrs. Lula Peterson, and Mrs. Laura Tagtow of Reliance, also 21 grandchildren and 46 great grandchildren. Mrs. Fletcher had always been active in the affairs of the community, the Methodist Church and the WSCS.
