Carroll E. Wilfong Services for Carroll E. Wilfong, 67, of 916 Stanley St., will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in McCloskey-Hamilton-Gundrum Funeral Home. Mr. Wilfong died at 12:54 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 28,1999, in the emergency room of St. Joseph Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born June 10,1931, in Leipsic, he was the son of Graver C. and Bessie Hayes Wilfong. On Feb. 7,1954, in Logansport, he was married to .Lauretta M. ; R,ude, who survives^ M, .; --win- 1 Mr.- Wilfong was a veteran'oWhe U.S. Arfny;' ; . He was a life member of the,:Veterans of Foreign" Wars Post 3790. He was a 1950 graduate of Campbellsburg High School. Mr. Wilfong was a coach operator for Summit! Bus Company of Fort Wayne. He was a former coach operator for Indiana Motor Bus Company and a former owner and operator of Bus Plus of Logansport. He also was a former brakeman for Penn Central Railroad. Also surviving are one son, Corbin E. Wilfong and his wife, Janice, Logansport; one daughter, Lorraine A. Goforth and her husband, Ronald, Logansport; three brothers, Ernest Wilfong, Castro Valley, Calif., Albert Wilfong, Royal Oak, Mich., and Dale Wilfong, Logansport; and three grandchildren, Carlos E. Wilfong, Joshua A. Goforth and Ashley Nicole Wilfong. Five brothers and three sisters preceded in deafh. Ralph Garver and Ray Morgan will officiate at the services. Burial, with military graveside rites, will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
