Five young girls were drowned in Portland Harbor, last Tuesday afternoon, by the upsetting of a pleasure boat in a white squall. The boat was a large one, named the Banner, and the girls were in the cuddy. She went down stern foremost, and they perished instantly. Their names were, Francis Ingraham, daughter of widow I; Adeline Thurston, daughter of Samuel T; Julia Ann Miliken, daughter of dipt. M; Catherine and Elizabeth Ilsley, daughters of Nathan Ilsley. Their ages were from eleven to eighteen. Their bodies were recovered by another boat. NEW-1 -
