Five young girls were drowned in Portland Harbor, last Tuesday afternoon, by the upsetting of a pleasure boat in a white squall. The boat was a large one, named the Banner, and the girls were in the cuddy. She went down stern foremost, and they perished instantly. instantly. Their names were, Francis Ingraham, daughter daughter of widow I; Adeline Thurston, daughter of Samuel Samuel T; Julia Ann Miliken, daughter of dipt. M; Catherine and Elizabeth Ilsley, daughters of Nathan Ilsley. Their ages were from eleven to eighteen. Their bodies were recovered by another boat. NEW-1 -
