Sharp-eyed Sharp-eyed Sharp-eyed officers alone ride on this "train" where the coach is directly over the boiler of the engine. To see thera go by at a forty-mile forty-mile forty-mile clip, you would think they did not "Inspect" anything, anything, but that is where you have another think coming." As a mat ter of fact, this engine-coach engine-coach engine-coach is equipped with the costliest of mech anism, calculated to determine to a hair'sbreadth the condition of the roadbed. For instance, if between here and Brimlield there is a "low- "low- joint" showing as much as the 16th of an inch out of line, or If a rail has 'crept" a minimum fraction of its length, lengthwise, sideways, or straight ud, there is a machine on tliis inspection car that registers ac curately exact conditions.
