Hearing in stolen tractor case set Mike Armendariz of Delano will join his brother, Manuel, 49, as defendants in a Nov. 13 preliminary hearing on charges of receiving stolen property. The Delano brothers were arraigned Monday before Bakersfield Municipal Court Judge Gerald K. Davis and released on $3,500 bail each. Manuel is charged with three counts of receiving tractors stolen from Kern County farmers. Mike is charged with one of the felonies. The arrests culminated a joint investigation by the Kern County and Imperial County sheriff departments, Delano police, California Highway Pa- trol and California Department Department of Justice. The charges involve a tractor taken from Kindig Brothers Farm in the Lamont area June 28, another taken from Kem County Equipment Co. in Delano July 14 and a third stolen from Chris Chroman of McFarland July 24. Two of the tractors were recovered on the Armendariz property, the third was found near Wasco Sept. 25, deputies said. Drum corps organizing
