I/DC places wreath on honor marker On Confederate Memo rial Day several members of the Robert E. Lee Chapter, United Daughters of the Confederacy and its president, Mrs. Earl Coleman, placed an evergreen wreath on the marker at Nib- 'lett's Bluff erected in memo- of The marker, erected in 1958 by the Louisiana and Texas Di- vision, UDC, is in commemora- tion of the soldiers who died 'while stationed at a supply de- pot in that area during the War between the States. Niblett's Bluff is located west of Vinton. The move to erect the marker marker was launched by the late Mrs. Rudolph Krause Sr. of Lake Charles, who was a past Louisiana Division president. The marker became a reality under the leadership of Mrs. John T. Hood Sr., now deceased, also of Lake Charles. She was Louisiana Division chairman of the project. The inscription on the mark- er reads as follows: "In mem-j during an epidemic while in ory of the Louisiana and Texas Confederate soldiers who died camp at Niblett's Bluff."
